We are sure many of you in the fractal world, here at dA, know of the terrible loss of one of the most amazing fractal artists kram666. Mark was not only a fantastic fractal artist, but also a great friend to many and always full of the nicest things to say. I know I was always dumbfounded why he would ever fave any of my fractals when they never even came close to the work he did, but he was always full of encouragement and never once let a thank you go by without saying, "You're welcome." I know James and I will also miss the wonderful photos of his dear foxes, as well as his gentle free spirit that made dA a nicer place for so many of us. He will truly be missed by us all.

Every time we fire one up, we will be thinking of you, Mark!

"I felt the call of the jungle, primal and clean.
I felt my connections to the wild in every cell in my body;
realized that I am among the trees, the plants, the grass, the sky.
The trees know me and I am never alone.
We are all one and we exist everywhere.
It was like coming home to the greatest welcome back party imaginable.
The love and purity of the trees surrounded and dazzled me.
I went outside to lie in the grass.
I needed to be there, to feel the dirt beneath my feet,
the stars above my head and the wet grass in my fingers.
The stars were like diamonds in a velvet black sky their light radiating beams of positivity and love down to us all."

If any of you would like to leave your condolences to his family, please visit his brother Simon's page Simon-Marks-Brother.

Also, we know many are wanting to keep his premium membership going, so we don't lose all his heartwarming photos on his page. If anyone has started a "Points Page" so people can donate, please let us know. Donating to his page will not help as the points will not be accessible.

:bulletgreen:We would like to thank jim373 for allowing us to use parts of his journal.

I express my condolences to kram666's family and friends. He had beauty in his artwork from what I'm seeing and that is never ending.

I am so very sorry to hear this. I wonder what happened. Mark was still young and so full of life and love! I remember being scared of Mark when I first visited his page. There were concepts on there that I was not familiar with. I loved Mark's art, though. (Still do!) I think he has, perhaps, been my greatest inspiration as an artist. As I got to know Mark better, I realized that there was absolutely nothing to be afraid of! I can't imagine a more gentle human being. I will miss Mark terribly. I hope he's in a peaceful place, and I hope he knows that we love him and honour him.

I am in tears this morning reading this. I can not tell you how wonderful and encouraging Mark was to me not only for my fractals but all my art. I never met Mark but I felt he was a true DA friend. I lost my father a couple weeks ago and had a really bad situation at my work recently and have felt lost and without friends. DA and people like Mark made it easier to face the day and the hate that is directed towards me in my life. Mark your art and kindness to a stranger is appreciated and it made a difference in my life.

This is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful guy! Mark was so supportive of other artists and his work was so vibrant and eye-catching and his fox photos are touching and sweet. He will be greatly missed here on dA. As Billy Joel said, "Only the Good Die Young" and Mark was certainly one of the good guys. RIP, Mark, and Godspeed. I'll miss you a lot, my friend.

It's touching to see that he had so many old and new friends here. That, in itself is quite the tribute to the sort of man he was.
